Tutorial Tuesday – Valentine’s Day Morse Code Mani

Ah another year, another Valentine’s Day. We loved many styles that have been posted already but this one stood out for two reasons – Morse Code and a classy black/gold combination.

The combination of lines and dots spells “LOVE” and instead of the common red and pink hues on manicures worldwide – your manicure will stand out from all the rest.

TT-valentines-maniYou will need:

  • Gold-colored thread
  • Micro-beads
  • Scissors
  • Black nail polish
  • Top coat nail polish

Step 1: Cut 5 small pieces of gold sting and grab 7 micro beads. NOTE: 3 small pieces of string need to fit going straight across on your middle finger so make sure they are small enough to fit.

Step 2: Practice makes perfect. Try drawing out the Morse Code so you can quickly apply the string and beads on your nails.

Step 3: Paint your nails with thin coats of black. Two thin coats should suffice.

Step 4: When it dries, paint on a clear coat and apply the string and micro-beads. Do it one finger at a time so the clear coats don’t dry. Begin with your index finger.

Step 5: Apply a quick drying top coat to your nails and you’re set!

P.S. You are not limited to black polishes!
