Zooey Deschanel Golden Globe Awards 2012
Awards season 2012 is here and celebrities strolling down the red carpet of the Golden Globe Awards started it off with great hairstyles, flawless make up, and incredible skin! We absolutely loved Zooey Deschanel’s super cute bouffant. It had volume and looked great with the sexy eyelashes she had on. Get her look by blow drying your hair with the CHI Rocket Pro Dryer and use TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Root Boost to achieve lift and volume from the roots. When blow drying, use the Bio Ionic Blue Wave X-Large Brush to achieve amazing volume. Want her lashes? We use the Peter Thomas Roth Lashes to Die for Mascara. It conditions and lengthens while providing maximum smudge and waterproof protection. For straight looks we found that Sofia Vergara’s straight style was sexy and frizz free. You can achieve this style with the Bio Ionic iSmooth Flat Iron 1”. This flat iron is amazing because the ceramic plates condition your hair as you use it. For added protection, use a serum before flat ironing on your hair, we like TIGI Bed Head Some Like it Hot Serum to calm fly aways and frizz. You can achieve these great looks with beauty products offered at TheBeautyPlace.com. The best part is that we have them at amazingly low prices! Try one, two or try all of them. Don’t forget to come back and let us know about your great look!

Hair style trends can come and go but one hair style that is sure to stay for a while longer is the Top Knot. A favorite over the summer, the top knot hair style doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Worn loose and messy, the popular hair look doesn’t require many hair products. Worn sleek and stylish, however, and hair products are essential.
Celebrity fans of the top knot include Sienna Miller, Kate Bosworth, Nicole Richie and on Saturday night Reese Witherspoon stepped out at the LACMA Inaugural Art + Film Gala sporting the up-do.
How to get the look?
Step 1: Start with dry hair. We like to use the T3 Evolution Dryer, which cuts our hair drying time by as much as 70%. Now, if you want a loose, romantic look, there is no need to worry about straightening you hair. You could, instead, spray your hair with a texturizer and tease your hair for a more voluminous look. However, if the sleek bun a la Reese Witherspoon is what you’re after, we suggest straightening your hair first. The Chi Nano Silver 1″ Flat Iron is ideal.
Step 2: Pull your hair into a high ponytail at the top of your head and secure it with a clear hair elastic. Expert tip: If you want a super-sleek look, spray your brush with hairspray before brushing your hair back into the ponytail. This is a fail-safe way to ensure your hair stays frizz-less.
Step 3: Wrap your ponytail around the elastic and secure it in place with bobby pins. Criss-cross them for extra-firm hold.
Step 4: Once you have created the topknot look you’re after, spray with hairspray.
The Beauty Place has all the heated hair tools and hair products you need to create this look at hugely discounted prices.

Today is the day that millions of people and all the media have been waiting for. People all over the nation (US) have been awake since the wee hours of the morning to watch the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles, 28, and Kate Middleton, 29. Even if you’re not actively searching for updates, it’s pretty much impossible to avoid hearing about the Royal Wedding today, unless you don’t go online, don’t turn on the TV or radio and pretty much just cut yourself off from all civilization.
With famous style icon guests including Victoria and David Beckham, this wedding was a huge event for the fashion world – and Kate did not disappoint. Kate Middleton looked like a classic beauty wearing a dress designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, a Cartier tiara borrowed from the Queen and a half-up, half-down hairdo with soft, loose curls.
Prince William was named His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus and Kate was named Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn and Baroness Carrickfergus.
If all the photos of the beautiful bride inspire you to get glammed up, visit TheBeautyPlace.com to get your fix.

There are different looks that are seasonal. For example, many people lighten their hair color during the summer (because summer sun is conducive to naturally lighter, brighter highlights and overall hair color) and darken their hair during winter. Not including hair color, many of the popular winter hair characteristics you’ll see this year include:
Volume: To balance the bulkiness that comes with layered clothing. Use TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Root Boost and TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Elevating Shampoo to add volume.
Bangs: Bangs draw attention away from pale winter skin.
Long Hair: Winter is definitely the time for longer hair because it adds some warmth and looks good.
Formal Winter Styles
When you need to dress up and look elegant, some of the Holiday Party Hairstyles are a good fit. Aside from the styles already mentioned there, French braids are among this winter’s most popular elegant updo hairstyles. Updo styles definitely take sophistication up a notch. Add a winter touch to your updo with hair accessories like those we recommended to decorate your wavy locks.

You’re bound to attend a couple of holiday parties this month. It seems people dress to impress at these parties, and surely, you still want to turn heads in this crowd of beautiful, decked out people. Try something new to spice up your look. Make your style more fun, more elegant or sexier with the perfect hair-do. Following are a few of my favorites and the how-to’s to achieve them:

Natural, Sophisticated Waves
Sultry waves have been in style for some time now, and they’re still going strong. I touched on one technique to create the look in the Sex and the City 2 Makes Waves post, but another way to get elegant, classy waves is to apply BioSilk Silk Mousse to wet hair before blow-drying hair. Use Bio Ionic Nano Blue Wave Large Round Brush while you dry your hair. Curl 2-inch sections of hair all over with a large-barrel CHI curling iron. Wait a couple of minutes for the hair to cool off and gently comb your fingers through your hair to loosen the waves. Lock in your style with CHI Enviro Flex Hold Hair Spray.

Neat, Polished Bun
A nice, clean bun can really dress up your ensemble – if you do it right. Start the process of creating an elegant hair bun by blow-drying your hair straight. Use Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Paste Texture Pomade to slick back your hair and pull it into a ponytail. Secure the ponytail with an elastic band and twist your hair around the base before pinning your ends underneath.

Fun, Easy Braided Twist
This popular braided twist is being worn by a lot of today’s celebrities. Good news: it’s easy to do AND looks fun and feminine! Apply TIGI Bed Head After-Party Smoothing Cream throughout damp hair. On both sides of your hair partition, separate 2-inches of hair and begin a French braid on each side that continues down and around your head until the two braids meet in the lower back of the head. Twist the ends and then secure them with bobby pins at the nape.
Sexy, Classy Chignon
Class up your look with a sexy, elegant chignon. To get the look, spritz Big Sexy Spray & Play Hairspray on the front part of your dried hair. Comb that section back with your fingers to create some volume. Roll the entire rest of your hair into a French twist and pin it up. Smooth back the front section and pin it at the crown of the head.
If you try out any of these looks for upcoming holiday parties, feel free to send me a picture to show me how it came out. I’d love to see it!

This year, the secret to a great summer hairstyle is casual, but polished. As far as texture goes, both straight and wavy hairstyles meet summer standards. Waves are always very summery. Make this year’s trendy hairstyle waves smooth for a more times-relevant look. Flat iron your hair first to smooth it out but leave some volume at the roots. CHI flat irons are top quality hairstyling tools that can be found at affordable prices.

Classic hair buns are being worn whether you’re dressing up or dressing down. Wear the modern hairstyle at a medium height right behind your head or super high. Add an extra trendy touch by incorporating a black headband into the mix.

Asymmetrical updos, such as the messy side braid, are extremely popular this summer. These kinds of modern hairstyles combine casual with elegant, so well.
As a parting thought, don’t make your updo too perfect; leave out a few loose strands. Also, vintage-looking accessories are a great finishing touch to soften your look.

Cute & Elegant Updo
- Wash your hair and blow dry
- Tie your hair into a ponytail.
- Use a curling iron to curl your hair by sections of about 1.5 inches. Alternating between curling hair inward or outward.
- After carefully removing the hair from the iron while keeping it rolled up, and pin it down.
- The very last few strands of hair should be smaller and left to hang loosely for an extra touch.
For an extra elegant touch, accent the hairdo with beautiful ribbons, flowers or decorative hair clips and accessories.
