Get the perfect French Manicure at home using the simplest tool – a rubber band! Use a classic whitenail polish for your tips, or get creative with another color!
Follow the pictorial below and don’t forget to clean up the extra paint afterwards.
P.S. For a better result, tie a knot on your rubber band so that it fits snugly on your finger. This will help avoid the rubber band sliding around while you paint. Don’t forget to top off with aclear coat!
Next time someone wants to give you their unwanted business card, don’t decline or toss it! Keep a collection of business cards in your vanity for mascara application. Since mascara should be applied last as a finishing touch, it often can create a smudgy mess. Avoid this by placing a business card right up against your lash line. Apply mascara as usual, only the excess makeup will smudge onto the card instead of your perfectly shadowed eyelids!
Contouring is a beautiful thing. Contouring & highlighting can make a face with hyperpigmentation, blemishes, and an uneven canvas appear picture-perfect. Below is a highlighting & contouring map.
Starting with a clean canvas, apply your regular foundation as a base. Next, bronze the spots in the first image below. These include your temples, the outer edges of your nose, and beneath your cheekbones down to your jaw line. In order to find the right spot, suck your cheeks into the perfect duck face and start at the indentation. Next, use a highlighter to swipe down the center of your nose, apply in a triangle underneath each eye, and in a triangle between the eyebrows on the forehead. See the picture below for exact placement. The third image shows the combined highlighted & contoured face. Finish with a clean, fluffy blender brush with bronzer to blend it all in. You will be amazed at the transformation!
You will be shocked at how easy it is to create your own gel eyeliner without shelling out the extra cash. Hold any lighter to a typical pencil eyeliner for 2 seconds. Be careful not to exceed this time as eyeliner melts fast! Let the liner cool a bit and then apply. It will glide on extra smooth!
This quick beauty tip can be used all year long, but especially over the Holidays. Instead of buying brighter makeup to pull of a Halloween costume, just use white eyeliner as your base/ primer. Applying this layer will make colors POP.
Gel manicures are a hands on girl’s best friend! They last far longer and keep your nails strong and less prone to breakage. The downside is that they can be costly, and your local salon may not have the color that you want in gel polish. Here is how to recreate a gel manicure in any color ofnail polishyou want!
Step 1: Apply two coats of Gelous Advanced Nail Gel Coat
Step 2: Apply one coat of the nail polish color you want to rock for the next couple weeks followed by another coat of Gelous.
Step 3: After allowing the coats from Step 1 & 2 to dry, apply another coat of the color polish & finish it off with top coat.
Your friends will be super “gelous”! (Was that too cheesy?)
You may leave the house looking like a goddess, but give it a few hours in front of a computer screen or on the dance floor and you start to resemble rocky the raccoon. The simplest way to avoid becoming this furry little friend is to prime! Use a primer on your bottom lids. Typically, we prime our top lid before applying eye makeup, but a little bottom lid love will help keep your liner where it belongs.
It is certainly one of the happiest types of wrinkles you can have, but laugh lines are not as pleasant looking as they sound. The tiny creases that we get as we age from smiling and laughing around our mouths also tend to collect our foundation and bronzer making themselves even more apparent. In order to combat this buildup, apply foundation and bronzer, then puff out your cheeks and swipe the areas with a cotton swab. This will take out any excess makeup and allow you to live, love and LAUGH!
Next time you’re getting a manicure, skip the soak! Seems like a silly move because this part softens your cuticles, but when soaking in warm water, your nails expand. After being painted they gradually shrink back down to size and your manicure is more likely to chip! If you simply can’t go without the soaking step, opt for cold water instead!
The Pretty Liars may not be beautiful on the inside but they sure look good on the outside! We found an outfit we just know little Aria Montgomery would wear. We paired a skin tight Gingam dress with an electric yellow crossbody bag and understated wedges. This number just screams her understated, classy meets sexy style.
