Put a layer of Vaseline around your cuticles before painting your nails at home. This acts as a shield for your skin so if you color a bit outside the lines, the nail polish won’t adhere to skin and can be wiped right off!
As you can see in our pictorial, it is important to create the x in your cupid’s bow before lining the rest of the lip.
Now pucker up!
A pretty pout is what it’s all about.
Most lip plumpers contain a spiced combination. This includes cinnamon, wintergreen, ginger and even capsicum (found in hot peppers) which all cause blood to rush to the surface of the lips, making them flush and swell.
The basic principle behind a lip plumper seems to be irritation. If you put mildly irritating or “stinging” things on your lips, there will be a little extra blood flow, which leads to scarlet, plumper lips.
You will need:
- Clear tube of lip gloss
- Cinnamon Oil Extract (can be obtained at your local market)
- Add about 6-8 drops! (this stuff is powerful so you do not want to overdo it)
- Put the cap back on and make sure you evenly mix up the oil. Apply to your lips…and watch the plumping magic happen!
P.S. Don’t overuse any lip plumper. Unlike lip plumping treatments, overusing lip plumpers that offer temporary results can lead to potential dryness and scaling.

This may not look too appetizing, but hey, it isn’t meant to be eaten! Pour Splenda into a bowl – we don’t recommend eating Splenda, but it is softer than sugar and will be more gentle for your face’s tender skin. Use a strawberry to apply the sweetener to your face and scrub in a circular motion. Rinse and then apply yogurt in a thin layer like a mask to clean skin. Let it sit for 20 minutes. It will harden during this time. Rinse again with warm water and you will be perfectly exfoliated!
One of my personal favorite products is Bliss, Fat Girl Slim’s skin firming cream. It truly reduces cellulite and I can’t imagine life without it! A lot of women are reluctant to try this however, and that’s totally understandable. This is the recipe for my favorite at home cellulite scrub using items that you already have in your pantry!
Rub a thin layer of olive oil into the areas you want to target. Then combine equal parts coffee grinds and brown sugar and rub them on top of the olive oil. Use circular motions with the pads of your fingers. Then rinse!
Simple as that. Repeat as needed. It won’t be as effective as the scrub, but caffeine stimulates the pores enough to sell you on snagging your own tub of Fat Girl Slim!
There is nothing worse than getting ready for a night on the town and misplacing your eyeliner except maybe running to the ladies room for a touch up and realizing you forgot your eyeliner altogether! Here’s a creative way to use mascara as eyeliner. Simply take an angle brush and apply mascara to the upper lid using the guideline below. No one will know the difference!
Dry Shampoo has quickly become the best friend of ladies everywhere! But, if you’re anything like me, you are nervous to try the stuff! The last thing you need when in a rush is to make your not-so-fresh hair even worse with clumpy, powdery dry shampoo. Below is a step by step tutorial. Be sure to follow the 10 inch away rule. Once you have sprayed it on, let it sit for 2 minutes without touching it. Then flip your head over to comb out any excess powder. My final tip is, resist the urge to touch it for the rest of the day. Although you have beautiful, fresh looking hair, you can’t run your fingers through it as usual. Trust me on this one!
