Translucent powders are made to set, blend and lock a product in.
It is necessary when using cream products. Creamy products like liquid foundations, liquid or cream concealers and cream blush can fade or be weighed down by gravity. This is the reason why makeup looks do not remain in their original glory throughout the day.
A translucent powder, or setting powder, will keep it in place making sure it lasts longer and the logic behind its creation.
By absorbing the oils that begin to creep up on the T-zone area, it allows makeup to stay put longer. Dusting it over your eyelids will reduce the oil ensuring that your eye makeup look lasts.
If you have not made it a part of your makeup routine, do so and see the difference it makes.
For today’s quick beauty tip we focused on reversing damage on your color-treated hair or if you excessively use heat to style.
We want to make sure that all the “beautistas” out there can try a variety of looks and hairstyles while maintaining your locks healthy!
You will need:
Coconut Oil (extra virgin oil preferred)
Make sure your hair is dry before applying the coconut oil
Scoop out coconut oil onto your hands and rub your hands together so the oil begins to melt.
Saturate your hair with coconut oil starting from the scalp all the way to your ends. Pay special attention to your ends! This is how you can target split ends and dry ends.
Comb through your hair and then clip oiled hair at the top of your head.
Wet the towel and heat it up in the microwave for about 30 seconds or until hot. You want to wrap the hot towel around your head. If you need to clip it to keep in place, do so. The heat will help the coconut oil work more effectively and deep down in your hair.
Use the shower cap to maintain the heat longer.
Wear the mask for about 30 minutes and then shampoo and condition regularly. (If you need to wash rinse and repeat, do so! You want to make sure you get all the oil out.)
You should see the results immediately and for a long period of time if you are consistent with it but don’t apply this mask more than twice a week.

Have you ever bought a lipstick color that you thought would suit you better as a lip gloss? Well you’re in luck! We have the solution for you.
What you will need is:
Vaseline or Petroleum Jelly
Double Boiler (or 2 pots that fit into each other)
Stove (NOTE: If you are under age please have a parent help or supervise you 🙂 )
Contact lens case or an empty gel liner case.
First, fill your double boiler with water in the bottom container or fill the bigger pot with some water. Bring the water to a simmer. Then, get your lipstick and twist it until the whole thing shows. Use your toothpick to cut the lipstick into the other pan. Grab some Vaseline/Petroleum Jelly and put it in the same pot. The more you use, the sheerer it will be. Put the pot into the boiling water and watch it melt. When it has completely melted, pour out the contents into the contact lens case (great to travel with) or in the empty gel liner case. Put it in the freezer so it can cool off and voila! you have your new lip gloss 🙂

Get 1/4 cup of coarse sugar. If you don’t have coarse sugar, you can use brown sugar or salt
